A Sweet 9-Month Milestone Session | San Antonio Baby Photographer
One of my favorite parts of milestone photography is getting to watch the same little babies grow right in front of my camera. This sweet girl has been coming to see me since her newborn session, and I’ve had the chance to photograph her every three months since. 🤍
She came back to the studio for her 9-month milestone session, and somehow she gets happier every single time I see her. She has been one of those babies who brings the smiles from beginning to end — which makes every session with her so much fun.
For this session, we created several completely different looks. We started with a soft butterfly garden setup in shades of blue and lavender, followed by a romantic floral backdrop with beautiful blush tones. And because nine months is such a fun age for something a little extra, we finished with the cutest strawberry milk bath filled with berries and flowers.
The result was the perfect mix of sweet, colorful and playful portraits that captured exactly where she is right now — sitting confidently, interacting with everything around her, showing off those little expressions and giving us plenty of those big smiles she’s become known for.
Why I Love Photographing Babies Throughout Their First Year
The changes between the newborn stage and the first birthday happen incredibly quickly. At three months, babies are beginning to become more alert. By six months, those personalities really start showing. And around nine months, we get sitting, giggles, curiosity and so many expressions.
Photographing those stages throughout the year creates more than a collection of beautiful portraits. You actually get to see their personality develop from session to session.
And after photographing this little one since she was brand new, it makes her upcoming one-year session feel especially meaningful. From tiny newborn details to this happy, smiley nine-month-old, it has been so much fun watching her grow.
