Soft Pinks & Sweet Beginnings | San Antonio Newborn Photography

What an honor it is to capture some of the very first portraits for families welcoming a new baby! Those first few weeks are filled with so much love, little adjustments, and moments that seem to pass far too quickly. Being able to preserve these memories is one of my favorite parts of being a San Antonio newborn photographer.

This sweet little lady was such a doll during her newborn session! We kept everything soft and delicate with a beautiful mix of creams, blush pinks, and dainty lace details. From her tiny fingers and toes to those precious sleepy expressions, every little detail was worth remembering.

One of the things I love about Newborn Photography Sessions is creating a variety of timeless portraits while keeping the focus on baby. The neutral tones and soft pink accents were the perfect combination for this beautiful little girl!

We finished her session with some incredibly sweet family and sibling portraits. Her big brother was all smiles holding his new baby sister, and I just know these photographs will become even more meaningful as they grow together. There is something so special about capturing a family in this new chapter of life!

A Beautiful Studio Maternity Session Celebrating Motherhood and Family in San Antonio
There is something so special about documenting a growing family, especially when there are already little ones excited to welcome a new baby!
This beautiful mama joined me at my San Antonio photography studio for a maternity session that was the perfect combination of elegant, feminine portraits and sweet family moments. From soft, flowing fabrics to romantic florals and photographs with her husband and children, every part of this session celebrated the beauty of motherhood and the excitement of welcoming another little one.

Elegant Maternity Portraits with Flowing White Fabrics

One of my favorite parts of this maternity photoshoot was creating these gorgeous, timeless portraits using flowing white fabric.
The simplicity of the white backdrop allowed all the attention to remain on mama and her beautiful baby bump. We incorporated different poses, soft fabric movement, and a combination of standing and seated portraits to create a gallery that felt both graceful and powerful.
I absolutely love giving expecting mothers the opportunity to embrace their changing bodies and feel beautiful during this season of life. Pregnancy is such a short chapter, and these photographs become a wonderful reminder of just how incredible this journey really is.

Romantic Floral Maternity Photography
We also incorporated a beautiful floral backdrop paired with a dreamy, flowing floral gown.
The soft pastel colors, delicate flowers, and feminine details created such a romantic look. This was a wonderful contrast to the minimalist white portraits and added another beautiful style to her maternity gallery.
One of the things I love about studio maternity photography is having the flexibility to create several completely different looks during one session. Including the Whole Family in Your Maternity Session
As much as I love photographing expecting mothers individually, including their families always adds another layer of meaning to a maternity session.
This sweet family of four is preparing to become a family of five, and capturing everyone together before their newest addition arrives was such a special part of our time in the studio.
Their family portraits were filled with beautiful smiles, sweet hugs, and moments of connection. I especially loved capturing the children alongside their mama and her growing belly.
These photographs aren’t just about pregnancy. They’re about remembering what your family looked like during this exciting season, before everything changes in the most wonderful way.
And someday, their newest little one will be able to look back at these images and see just how loved they were before they even arrived.

A Beautiful Baby Girl & All Things Floral | San Antonio Newborn Photographer

There is something so special about welcoming a brand-new baby into the studio, especially when I get to bring out all the pretty florals, soft colors, and delicate little details!

This sweet baby girl was an absolute dream during her newborn photography session. With her gorgeous dark hair, precious little features, and sleepy expressions, she looked beautiful in every single setup we created.

For her session, we incorporated a lovely mixture of soft pinks, romantic florals, mint greens, and even a gorgeous pop of magenta. I loved how every setup had its own personality while still keeping that soft, feminine feel throughout her gallery.

Pretty Florals & Sweet Newborn Details

One of my favorite things about photographing newborn baby girls is putting together beautiful setups that complement each baby.

We started with some gorgeous floral arrangements surrounding a natural wicker basket, filled with soft pink textures and rich rose-colored flowers. The combination of the flowers, delicate headband, and her tiny little hands tucked beneath her chin made for such a precious portrait.

Another favorite was our softer blush floral setup. The delicate blossoms, cozy textures, and pale pink wrap created such a dreamy look. And of course, that beautiful dark hair made everything even sweeter!

A Little Color & Lots of Personality

While soft pink is always a favorite for newborn girls, I also love introducing other colors into a session.

The mint green setup was such a beautiful change of pace! It complemented her complexion perfectly and gave us something a little different from the traditional pink newborn portraits.

And that magenta outfit? Such a gorgeous pop of color! I loved the rich tone against the coordinating backdrop, especially with her little floral headband.

We also incorporated a delicate blush outfit with the prettiest little bow, creating timeless portraits that really brought all the attention to her tiny features.

Capturing All Those Tiny Details

One thing I always want parents to remember is just how quickly this newborn stage passes.

Those tiny fingers, little toes, full cheeks, sleepy smiles, and all that beautiful newborn hair change before you know it.

My goal with every newborn session is to create a gallery filled with variety while still keeping the focus on what matters most: your beautiful baby.

There is something so beautiful about a mama who walks into her maternity session ready to embrace every bit of this special season of life!

This gorgeous mama came into my San Antonio photography studio ready to show off her growing baby bump, and I absolutely loved it! She was stunning, confident, and so comfortable celebrating the beautiful changes that come with pregnancy. I knew we were going to create some incredible images together!

A Beautiful Floral Maternity Gown

One of my favorite things about this session was her gorgeous floral maternity gown. The soft pastel colors, delicate floral details, and flowing fabric were absolutely beautiful against the darker, textured backdrop.

The way the gown draped around her baby bump was so pretty, and I loved how we could use the fabric to create different looks throughout her session. From sweet, natural smiles to more dramatic, elegant poses, every image had its own beautiful feel.

And can we talk about how stunning she looked?!

From Baby Milestones to Her First Birthday | San Antonio Cake Smash Photographer

How has an entire year already flown by? It feels like just yesterday we were beginning this sweet baby girl’s first-year photography journey, and now here we are celebrating her very first birthday!

One of my favorite things about being a San Antonio newborn and milestone photographer is getting to watch these little ones grow right before my eyes. From those early baby days to sitting up, smiling, and eventually celebrating the big ONE, every stage brings something new and special.

This sweet girl holds an extra special place in my heart because she is baby number three from this wonderful family that I’ve had the privilege of photographing throughout their first year! Being invited back to capture each baby’s milestones is something I never take for granted. Over the years, they’ve become so much more than clients, and seeing their family grow has been such a joy.

Three Beautiful Themes for One Special Birthday

For her first birthday photography session, we had the best time creating three completely different looks!

We started with a dreamy floral cake smash setup filled with soft peach and blush tones, delicate flowers, and the prettiest little birthday cake. Her adorable peach dress and floral headband were the perfect finishing touches.

Next came a classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s-inspired setup, featuring beautiful turquoise blues, pearls, and the sweetest little black outfit. She looked absolutely precious, and those big smiles made the entire setup even more memorable!

We finished with a cheerful sunflower theme, complete with warm yellow tones and an adorable sunflower outfit. Her sweet expressions and curious personality truly shined through in every photograph.

Capturing More Than Just a Birthday

First birthday sessions are about so much more than celebrating a number. They’re about remembering those tiny expressions, sweet smiles, and the personality that has blossomed over an incredible first year.

A Floral Newborn Session Full of Lavender, Peach, and Sweet Sibling Moments

There is something so special about a newborn session filled with soft florals, delicate colors, and those tiny details parents never want to forget. This beautiful baby girl’s studio newborn session was full of sweetness from start to finish — lavender wraps, peachy pink tones, floral crowns, tiny sleepy smiles, and the sweetest moments with her mama and big brother.

As a San Antonio newborn photographer, I love creating newborn galleries that feel personal, timeless, and full of variety. This session had such a dreamy mix of soft feminine colors and floral-inspired setups. We used shades of lavender, peach, blush pink, mint, and deeper berry tones to create a gallery that felt colorful but still soft and delicate.

One of my favorite parts of this session was the variety of floral setups. Baby girl looked absolutely precious wrapped in peach inside a basket surrounded by soft flowers. The peach and coral tones gave the images such a warm, sweet feel. We also used lavender details throughout the session, including a soft purple wrap, floral headbands, and dainty newborn accessories that photographed beautifully against the clean studio backdrop.

Another favorite setup was the butterfly and flower backdrop. It added such a playful, whimsical touch while still keeping baby as the main focus. I love when newborn sessions include a few creative images like this because they bring personality and color into the gallery while still feeling polished and timeless.

Of course, the simple poses are always some of the most meaningful. Baby girl looked so peaceful in the soft lavender knit outfit, curled up with her tiny hands tucked under her cheek. Those close-up images show all the little details that change so quickly — her lashes, her lips, her sweet cheeks, and that tiny newborn curl.

We also included mama-and-baby portraits, which are always so important. I know many moms feel tired after having a baby, but these images matter. There is something incredibly beautiful about the way a newborn fits perfectly in her mama’s arms. These portraits become even more meaningful as the years pass.

Big brother was also part of the session, and his images were so sweet. Sibling portraits during a newborn photoshoot in San Antonio can be some of the most treasured photos in the gallery. His gentle kiss, proud smile, and the way he held his baby sister made these images feel so full of love. These are the moments families will look back on and remember exactly how tiny baby was in the beginning.

A Beautiful Senior Session at the McNay Museum in San Antonio

Senior year is such a big milestone, and graduation portraits are one of the best ways to celebrate everything that led up to this moment. This gorgeous senior session at the McNay Museum in San Antonio was full of sunshine, beautiful garden backdrops, elegant architecture, and so much excitement for the future.

As a San Antonio senior photographer, I love when senior sessions feel polished but still natural. This session had the perfect balance. Her white dress gave the portraits a classic, timeless look, while the orange cap and gown added that bold graduation moment every senior deserves.

We started near the water and garden areas, which created such a dreamy backdrop for her senior portraits. The soft greenery, stone pathways, and warm golden light made the white dress stand out beautifully. This location gave the images a soft and elegant feel without looking too formal or stiff.

One of the best things about taking senior photos at the McNay Museum is the variety. You can get garden portraits, stone steps, pretty benches, architectural details, walkways, greenery, and fountain images all in one location. That variety makes the full gallery feel complete without needing to travel to multiple places.

Her white dress was such a perfect choice for these portraits. It photographed beautifully against the natural greens and warm stone tones around the museum. A simple white outfit is always a strong option for senior photos because it feels clean, bright, and timeless. It also gives the images a polished look while still letting the senior’s personality shine through.

The stone stairway portraits added a completely different feel to the session. The warm texture of the stone, the sunlight coming through, and her natural smile made this part of the gallery feel classic and a little editorial. I always love using stairs, arches, walls, and pathways during senior sessions because they help create depth and movement in the images.

Senior portraits should not feel like one pose repeated over and over. They should feel like a full story.

For this session, we included a mix of seated poses, standing portraits, walking shots, close-ups, and playful movement. That variety is what keeps a senior gallery interesting. Some images feel soft and sweet, some feel confident, and some feel full of joy and celebration.

And this senior made it easy. She looked beautiful, relaxed, and confident in every setup.

The close-up portraits were some of my favorites from this session. These images are perfect for graduation announcements, albums, wall portraits, and social media posts because they focus on the senior herself. The soft curls, classic white dress, and natural outdoor setting all came together so beautifully.

When planning graduation photos in San Antonio, I always recommend choosing outfits that feel like you but still photograph well. A dress, a polished casual outfit, and your cap and gown are all great options. This session kept things simple and strong with a white dress and orange graduation gown, and honestly, it worked perfectly.

The bench portraits added another sweet, relaxed look to the gallery. I love how the greenery framed her without overpowering the image. The McNay has so many little corners that work beautifully for senior portraits, and this spot gave the gallery a soft garden feel.

Then it was time for the graduation look.

The orange cap and gown brought so much energy to the session. Graduation portraits should feel celebratory, and this look did exactly that. The bright orange popped beautifully against the greenery and warm stone paths, making the images feel bold, happy, and full of personality.

These are the photos that say, “I did it.”

I always think every senior session should include a few fun cap and gown poses. Holding the cap, tossing it, walking with the gown open, sitting near the fountain, or giving a big smile toward the camera — these are the images that feel exciting and emotional at the same time.

Senior year can feel busy and overwhelming, but graduation portraits are a chance to pause and actually celebrate it.

The fountain portraits were absolutely stunning. The sunlight, water, trees, and orange cap and gown created such a beautiful graduation moment. This image has that bright, joyful feeling that makes senior photos so special. It is polished enough for announcements and wall prints, but still full of personality.

One of the prettiest parts of this gallery was the combination of the orange graduation gown with the colorful flowers and warm light. It brought so much life to the images and made the session feel cheerful and fresh.

As a San Antonio senior photographer, my goal is always to create images that feel like more than just “school pictures.” Senior portraits should feel elevated, personal, and worthy of this milestone. They should show confidence, joy, personality, and excitement for what comes next.

This session at the McNay Museum did exactly that.

One of my favorite parts of this session was photographing mom with her baby boy. There is something so tender about those first portraits of a mother and her newborn. For baby’s solo portraits, we used a beautiful blue color palette. The soft blue wrap, textured layers, and heart-shaped bowl created such a sweet setup for this little one. Blue is always a classic choice for newborn boys, but I love using it in a way that still feels soft, modern, and timeless.

This setup gave the gallery a peaceful, cozy feel while still adding color and texture. The heart bowl was the perfect little prop to make the image feel extra sweet without taking attention away from baby.

We also used a rustic bucket setup with warm wood tones and deep blue textures. This is such a great option for families who love a slightly more natural, earthy look. As a San Antonio maternity photographer, one of my favorite parts of studio maternity sessions is being able to create a full experience for each client. The lighting, gowns, backdrops, posing, and overall mood all come together to tell the story of this short but meaningful season before baby arrives.

This session was the perfect mix of soft, feminine, dramatic, and elegant.

We started with a soft blush pink backdrop paired with one of my gorgeous pink maternity gowns.
