Baby Number Six | San Antonio Maternity Photographer

Baby number six joined the world just one week after this beautiful mama’s maternity session, and I am so glad we were able to capture these portraits before her newest little love arrived.

There is something so special about maternity photos, especially in those final weeks of pregnancy. It is such a short season, even though it does not always feel short while you are living it. Your body is working so hard, your family is waiting with so much excitement, and life is about to change in the sweetest way. Maternity photos give you a chance to pause and remember this part of your story.

This mama looked absolutely stunning and had the most beautiful glow during her session. She made being just days away from delivery look effortless. Every pose, gown, and backdrop came together so beautifully, and I loved being able to create images that celebrate both her pregnancy and the love already surrounding this baby.

This beautiful mama chose a petite maternity session in the studio, and the final look was simple, elegant, and full of glam.

For her session, we used a soft pink backdrop paired with one of my dramatic black designer maternity gowns. I love how the light pink background kept everything feminine and soft, while the black gown added that bold, high-end look. It gave her gallery the perfect mix of sweet and glamorous.

This beautiful petite maternity session in San Antonio was simple, classic, and full of love. Mama came into my studio expecting baby number four, and we created a timeless maternity gallery using one of the gowns from my maternity closet and a clean white backdrop.

I love when maternity portraits are simple because they keep the focus exactly where it should be — on mom, her baby bump, and the connection between this season and the baby she is waiting to meet. For this session, mama wore a stunning black maternity gown from my studio closet. The off-the-shoulder style, fitted shape, and flowing train photographed beautifully against the white backdrop. It gave the entire session a clean, elegant look without needing anything extra.

Her husband also joined for a few sweet portraits, and those images added such a meaningful touch to the gallery. A Beautiful Signature Maternity Photoshoot in San Antonio, Texas

This sweet client came into my San Antonio photography studio for her Signature maternity photoshoot, and her session was such a beautiful mix of simple, dramatic, soft, and romantic. I love when maternity sessions include variety while still feeling timeless, and this gallery had such a perfect balance.

For her first look, we started with a dramatic sheer black fabric maternity look. We kept some poses soft and simple with classic draping around her belly, then added movement by tossing the fabric into the air for a more editorial, flowing look. This style is always stunning because it creates so much shape and drama while still keeping the focus on mom and her beautiful baby bump.

Her second look was a fitted sleeveless green gown, which gave us a clean and classic studio maternity style. Fitted maternity gowns are perfect for highlighting the bump, and this deep green color photographed beautifully against the simple studio backdrop. This look also gave us a chance to include her husband for a few sweet maternity portraits together. I always love including partners during a maternity session because it adds another layer of connection and emotion to the gallery.

For her final look, she wore a soft mauve flowy gown with beautiful texture and movement. This gown gave the session such a romantic feel. Boerne Outdoor Maternity Photography Near San Antonio

While I don’t photograph many sunrise sessions, I have to admit — when I do, they are absolutely breathtaking.

This beautiful maternity session took place just outside San Antonio in Boerne, Texas at a quiet country field location that feels like something out of a storybook. Tall natural grasses, rustic fence lines, and a peaceful river tucked into the background create the most romantic setting for maternity photography.

The tree line that frames both sides of the river adds such depth and enchantment — especially in that soft Texas morning light.

But beyond the location, what made this session truly special was the mama.

This is baby number three for her — another sweet boy — and I had the honor of photographing her maternity session when she was expecting her second son as well. Being invited back to document another chapter of her motherhood journey is something I never take lightly.

She selected two gowns from my San Antonio client closet, and they complemented the natural Boerne landscape beautifully. The soft fabrics moved perfectly in the morning breeze, and the neutral tones paired effortlessly with the golden fields and river backdrop.

I can hardly believe how fast time has flown — it feels like just yesterday I was photographing Thalia’s first maternity session! Back then, she chose a cozy studio session, and she was such a joy to photograph — calm, graceful, and full of quiet excitement as she awaited her baby girl.

This time around, Thalia wanted something a little different — a relaxed, outdoor family session to celebrate this new chapter with her husband and daughter by her side. We met in the charming little town of Helotes, Texas, just outside of San Antonio. It’s one of my favorite spots for sunset sessions, with wide open fields, rustic charm, and that unbeatable Texas glow that wraps everything in golden light.

As a San Antonio maternity photographer, I always schedule sessions during that dreamy golden hour — when the light is soft, romantic, and perfect for highlighting those emotional connections between family.
