San Antonio Newborn Photographer | Autumn’s Sweet Studio Newborn Session

Autumn was such an absolute dream to photograph during her newborn session here in my San Antonio photography studio. From the moment she was settled, she curled beautifully into each pose and slept peacefully throughout her entire photoshoot — every newborn photographer’s dream client. Sessions like this remind me why I truly love being a newborn photographer in San Antonio and capturing these fleeting first days for families.

Mom had a wonderful vision for Autumn’s session and selected a soft color palette of light purples and teal, with a dark pink wrap for her sibling portraits with big sister. The combination photographed beautifully and added a sweet, feminine touch while still keeping the images timeless and clean. One of my favorite parts of my newborn sessions is allowing parents to customize their baby’s gallery — from wrap colors and props to how many family or sibling images they’d like to include.

Big sister was absolutely precious with her new baby sister and did an amazing job during their sibling portraits. Capturing those early bonding moments is always so special and often becomes a family favorite. These images tell such a meaningful story of growing families and the love that begins right from day one.

How adorable is Miss Leah? Out of all the jobs in the world, I truly believe working with newborns daily as a newborn photographer here in San Antonio wins every contest. There is nothing sweeter than capturing those tiny details, sleepy stretches, and peaceful expressions during a baby’s first days of life.

Miss Leah was under two weeks old for her studio newborn session, which is the perfect age for beautifully posed newborn photography. She is the second baby for this wonderful family — and the second newborn session I’ve had the honor of photographing for them. Returning families mean the world to me, and I’m so grateful they trusted me again to capture another milestone for their growing family.

One of the things my clients love most about booking a studio newborn session with me is the ability to customize their entire shoot. Families can choose how many family or sibling portraits they would like included, along with the colors, wraps, outfits, props, and even the exact wrap color used for parent images. For Leah’s session, her parents selected a gorgeous color palette of dark red, dark pink, dark purple, and cream. The result was a beautifully feminine newborn gallery filled with floral elements, delicate headbands, soft textures, and timeless styling. Every detail came together perfectly — and of course, Leah herself made the session absolutely magical.

A Beautiful Newborn Session with Baby Kennedy | San Antonio Newborn Photographer

Miss Kennedy’s newborn session was extra special — she’s the second baby I’ve had the honor of photographing for this sweet family! Her big sister was an absolute star during her own session, so I was excited to meet Kennedy and create something equally beautiful for her growing family.

Every newborn session I offer here at Krystal Garcia Photography in San Antonio is fully customized. From the color palette to the props and florals, I work closely with parents (and sometimes generous grandparents!) to design a gallery that feels personal, timeless, and full of love. In this case, it was Kennedy’s wonderful grandmother who gifted the session — such a thoughtful and meaningful way to celebrate a new baby. These photos will be treasured by the family for generations.

Custom Newborn Session with Florals and Soft Tones

The requested colors for Kennedy’s session were white, purple, coral, and dark pink — a stunning combination for a baby girl. I also incorporated lots of floral elements, which added a soft, whimsical touch to each setup. These hues complimented Kennedy’s skin tone beautifully and gave us a wide variety of looks, from classic to dreamy.

Kennedy was just under 2 weeks old when she came into the studio, which is the perfect window for newborn photography. At this age, babies tend to be extra sleepy and still very curly, which makes it easier to pose them safely and comfortably. She needed a few feeding breaks, as most babies do, but overall she was such a dream to photograph.

Capturing Sweet Moments and Tiny Smiles

One of my favorite parts of Kennedy’s session? That sweet smile I caught mid-shoot! Newborn smiles are rare and quick — you really have to be ready at just the right moment to catch one. When I do, it almost always ends up being one of the parents’ favorite images. Kennedy’s smile melted all of us!

Her big sister also joined us for some sibling and family portraits, and she continues to be so photogenic and fun to work with. It’s a joy watching families grow and getting to be part of their story through photography.
