One of my favorite things about being a San Antonio newborn photographer is when my maternity clients come back to me for their baby’s newborn session. There’s something incredibly special about watching that journey come full circle — from bump to baby.

This gorgeous mama came to see me just a couple of months ago for her maternity portraits, and before I knew it, she was back in the studio with her brand-new little one — only five days new!

What made this session even more inspiring was that mom and dad were in the middle of a military move — literally moving the same day as their newborn session. Their house was packed up, boxes everywhere, and they still made time to capture these moments before heading out. That level of dedication says everything about how much these memories mean.

For their baby’s color palette, mom and dad chose a beautiful combination of light blue, dark pinks, and mauves — a mix that felt both classic and modern. Every family I work with gets to help choose their color schemes, because I want each setup to feel personal and meaningful to them.

These newborn days go by in a blink, and it’s always my goal for families to leave the studio feeling completely in love with the images we’ve created. There are so many photographers to choose from, and I never take it lightly when a family chooses me to document their baby’s first days.

I’m so grateful for families who continue to trust me to capture their most meaningful memories — it’s truly the heart of what I do.
