Timeless Elegance: A Stunning Maternity Session

As a San Antonio maternity photographer, I feel so fortunate to work with such amazing, beautiful clients. One of my favorite clients came to me for her second maternity session, and every time she steps into my studio, I’m reminded just how much I adore working with her. Her first session with me was also in the studio, and I was absolutely thrilled when she decided to return for another studio maternity session for her second baby. It’s such a joy to see familiar faces and capture these special moments again!

For every full maternity session, clients can choose up to 3 maternity gowns and 3 backdrops from my exclusive collection. This particular session was full of elegant, girly gowns that perfectly complemented her beautiful pregnancy glow. She selected some absolutely gorgeous gowns, featuring delicate florals and soft, romantic details, as well as a more elegant, timeless backdrop. The combination of the florals and the elegant backdrop created a stunning contrast that I feel truly captured the essence of her maternity journey—elegant, feminine, and timeless.

And let’s talk about that beautiful baby bump—her belly was simply perfect. Every curve was glowing with the joy and anticipation of the little one on the way. I love how these sessions showcase the beauty and strength of motherhood in such a unique and personal way.

Collin’s Newborn Portraits | San Antonio Newborn Photographer

Mr Collin was such a sweet baby 🙂 He had the rolls and the cute face and a sleepy vibes 🙂 His mommy had last seen me for her maternity photoshoot and now she was back with her sweet baby 🙂 This brand new baby was a big baby weighing almost 10 lbs 🙂 But he was so sleep as well 🙂 Mama requested light greens, beige/greens, light blues and of course some sibling and family portraits. ISn’t big brother the cutest?

Capturing Joy: A Day with the Velasquez Family

There’s nothing more delightful than a family arriving for their photoshoot, brimming with smiles and excited children ready to capture beautiful moments. This year marks the third time I’ve had the privilege of working with the Velasquez family, and I can honestly say that every session is a cherished experience. From the moment they step in front of my camera, their joy is palpable, and it makes for some truly enchanting portraits.

One of the things that stands out about the Velasquez family is how incredibly photogenic they are. Each family member brings their own unique energy, and together, they create a mosaic of emotions that truly reflects the love they share. It’s evident that they enjoy each other’s company, and their laughter often fills the air, making my job not only easier but also incredibly rewarding.

A huge credit goes to Mom, who has a remarkable talent for scouting out beautiful locations for our shoots. Every year, she suggests new spots, and I’m continually amazed by her eye for scenery. This year, she led us to a stunning area that offered a variety of backdrops all within a short walking distance—tall grass swaying in the gentle breeze, lush green trees providing a sense of intimacy, and an expansive open field that added a sense of adventure. To add to our day’s magic, we were even fortunate enough to spot some deer observing us from a distance, as if they too wanted to be part of the family portrait!

But perhaps the icing on the cake was the incredible sunshine that graced our session. For those who know me, it’s no secret that I’m a sucker for natural light, especially when it bathes everything in a warm, golden glow. The interplay of shadows and light created a dreamy atmosphere that enhanced the beauty of each shot. There’s simply nothing that goes better together than sunshine, a camera, and beautiful people, and I was delighted to have all three in abundance.

As I snapped away, capturing candid moments and posed portraits alike, I couldn’t help but reflect on how special it is to witness and document the evolving story of the Velasquez family. With each passing year, I see their children grow and change, yet the essence of their familial love remains constant, which is both wonderful and timeless.

At the end of the day, photography is so much more than just taking pictures; it’s about freezing moments in time that families can cherish for years to come. I am grateful for the Velasquez family for allowing me the honor of telling their story through my lens, and I can’t wait for our next adventure together. Here’s to more smiles, more sunshine, and more beautiful memories to capture in the years ahead!

Luca’s 6 Month Milestone Portraits | San Antonio Milestone photographer | Krystal Garcia Photography

Mr Luca. You are too cute for words and certainly brought your A game for your 2nd photoshoot with me. I first photographed mr Luca at his newborn session and it was so cool and an honor to see him again and so grown! When I say he was a super smiley baby, I’m not exaggerating by any means 🙂 He was such a happy soul! Sessions are up to an hour long, but he was done in 40 minute. 3 backdrops and he breezed thru it all. lol

His parents chose 3 different backdrops, one was a baseball one, a blue doors backdrop and a moon and stars backdrop. Clients only need to bring outfits, since I’m stocked with lots of backdrops and props for little ones 🙂 I am so glad they chose me to be their san antonio baby photographer. I can’t wait to see him in 6 months for his cake smash session!

Azariah is such a cute baby! He came in to see me at 10 days new and is the second baby for this family. I loved that his family joined in for family and sibling photos. He will only be this little for a short time and he’s going to enjoy how little he looked in their arms when he was so small. His mommy asked for soft/neutral colors and I love his gallery. Those chubby cheeks and scrumptious rolls were so cute! These are just a sample from his really big gallery 🙂 I am so glad this family chose me to capture their little man.

Darian’s Newborn Portraits | San Antonio Newborn Photographer | Krystal Garcia Photography

I wanted to keep mr Darian and might have asked his parents a few times during his session. He’s just too cute! Not only is he freaking cute, but he was a perfect little model for me 🙂 One of my favorites part of a newborn session is when parents give me total control of setups. They have zero color preferences and ask for me to choose their setups! I love mixing soft and bold colors. It makes for a nice variety for their newborn gallery. He was 11 days new when he came in and was a perfect size at 8.6 pounds. I am so glad they chose me to be their newborn photographer!

I was so fortunate to be picked by this family to document their pregnancy and miss Kaia when she was born. This family came from canada and they lived up to canadians being super sweet 🙂 We went to Boerne for their maternity session and once Kaia arrived, they came to my studio for their session 🙂 Her color scheme was purple and neutrals. I really had fun setting it all up and of course photographing this sweet pea! 🙂 Both of their girls look just like mommy 🙂 I am so thrilled they chose me to be their San Antonio newborn photographer!!

This little lady was just pure perfection. She came in to see me and slept like an angel. Her mommies loved purple and whites and I loved photographing her! This chunky cheeks and little hair she had. She was nice and curly and rarely made a fuss while I was working with her :).

Her big brother adored her and was so easy to entertain (making it really fun to get him to laugh with his sister). Do you see the little smirk sister has with her brother?

Breanne’s Maternity Portraits | San Antonio Maternity Photographer | Krystal Garcia Photography

Miss Breanna is a stunning. We Met at one of my favorite locations ( you can tell its a favorite for me and my clients cause they all love going there!). She used 3 of my maternity gowns and they all looked amazing on her. I loved the very natural and pure look the white dress gave and the boldness of the burgundy dress on her 🙂 I wanted to make sure we got plenty of just mom by herself but tons of her with her hubby as well 🙂 Being a newborn and maternity photographer is just so much fun and I can’t wait for her baby so I can photograph her little one! 🙂

Salazar Newborn Portraits | San Antonio Newborn Photography | Krystal Garcia Photography

This little beauty came in to see me for her newborn session and I was beyond excited when I saw how beautiful she was. Gorgeous skin and a head full of pretty hair 🙂 My favorite image just might be the one where she’s laying in the pretty little lace romper on her mom’s wedding dress. She looks so beautiful and I know her mom will love it (it was a pose mommy requested). Her setups were done with lots of lace, pink and white. A very elegant and timeless color palette 🙂 We ended the session with a few poses with her mom and dad. They just love her!

Krystal Garcia Photography is a San Antonio Newborn, Maternity & Family Photographer. All newborn sessions are done in her studio in San Antonio and all props are provided. This includes newborn outfits, hats, wraps, bows and buckets, and baskets.  No need to bring anything!
